Funeral Services for Suzie Smith of Newellton, Louisiana, formerly of Baton Rouge, are 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at New Salem Church of Christ in Brookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time of service at New Salem Church of Christ.

Miss Smith, 54, died Oct. 27, 2014, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, Louisiana. She was born on Jan. 13, 1960, in Jackson to James Ray and Lucy Faye Smith.

She was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved to listen to music and sing; her favorite passtime was to sit and cut paper.

Preceding her in death were her father; one brother, Ned Smith; grandparents, Bracy Smith, Helen Smith, Mildred Smith and Cammie Smith.

Survivors are her mother, Lucy Smith of Newellton, Louisiana; one sister, Rebecca Adams and husband, Lawrence, of Newellton; one brother, Cammie Ray Smith of Katy, Texas; one sister-in-law, Becky Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
