West Lincoln’s junior high girls’ and boys’ basketball teams swept a pair of games over Natchez Cathedral on Monday at Jack Case Gymnasium.

The Lady Bears jumped out to a 22-10 lead at the half and rolled to a 47-23 win. Skylar Hall led West Lincoln with 13 points. Megan Gerald contributed 10 points and Jana Case provided nine points for the Lady Bears. Cathedral was led by Baylee Graning’s 16 points.

West Lincoln’s boys raced out to a 26-2 lead at halftime and cruised to a 50-9 victory over the Green Wave. Garrison Coffey led the Bears with 11 points, while Jatavian Lewis provided nine points. Sawyer Lewis added eight points for West Lincoln. Lance Goude led Cathedral with six points.

Tuesday’s junior high games between West Lincoln and Loyd Star have been postponed, with a makeup date to be determined. West Lincoln’s junior high teams will host Enterprise on Monday for four games beginning at 4 p.m.
