The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats captured a big 56-12 victory over the Sacred Heart Lady Crusaders Saturday in Enterprise’s Classic Tournament.

“Today was a great day to give everyone some playing time,” said BC coach Christi Terrell.

The Lady Cats (2-0) returns to action Thursday as they prepare to host West Lincoln for four games, Junior high action begins at 4 and 5 p.m., followed the varsity games at 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Bogue Chitto 56, Sacred Heart 12 

BC’s 21-2 explosion in the first quarter and 20-2 outburst in the third quarter was enough to put away the Lady Crusaders and secure the victory.

The Lady Cats had a balanced offensive attack as Zariah Matthews lead the scoring onslaught with 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Taneshia May contributed 10 points. Karlie Williams and Christian Black netted nine points each. Shakirianna Jefferson scored eight points. Black was the leader on the boards with eight rebounds. Lauren McCaffrey had seven rebounds

The Lady Crusaders did not have anyone to score in double figures as Allie Mayers and Maria Enger led the team with three points apiece.
