DAILY LEADER / Photo Submitted / Loyd Star Cross Country Lady Hornets finish the Cross Country season by placing fifth in the Division 2A State Meet last Saturday at Choctaw Trails. They competed against thirteen teams.

DAILY LEADER / Photo Submitted / Loyd Star Cross Country Lady Hornets Abby Thomas and Julie Smith make excellent placements in the 2014 MHSAA Division 2A State Meet. Thomas placed second overall female in the state for the 2A Division. Smith placed fourteenth overall female in the state for the 2A Division. Coach Michelle Case is pictured with the duo.
