Funeral Services for Arlester Smith Sr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Center St. Church of Christ in Brookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary. The family hour will be from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home on the same day.

Mr. Smith, 69, died Nov. 9, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born on Feb. 12, 1945, in Lincoln County to John Ester Smith and Blanchie Hilson Smith Washington.

He graduated from Eva Harris High School in 1963, and was a member on the Board of Trustees. He was a member of Center Street Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Lewis Smith; and niece, Valarie Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Lee Quarles Smith of Brookhaven; son, Arlester Smith Jr. and wife, Latasha, of Brookhaven; daughters, Cynthia D. Blackwell and Robin D. Jones and husband, Andre, both of Brookhaven; sisters, Betty Smith of Gulfport, Deborah Sanders of Brookhaven, and Catherin Bass of Biloxi; brother, Johnny Ray Smith of Fayette; grandchildren, Arletta D. Smith, Kendall Brown, Brielle Blackwell, Tevinyance Loving, Torriyance Loving, Alexis Walker, Johnesha Johnson and Artasia Smith, all of Brookhaven; great-grandchildren, Zyquevia Winters, Aniuah McNulty and Qoi McNulty; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
