Lady Wolves destroy Spring Hill

SUMMIT – The Co-Lin Lady Wolves remains undefeated on the season after destroying the Spring Hill Lady Badgers 107-35 Monday afternoon in the Southwest Coca Cola Classic Tournament.
The Lady Wolves (4-0) resumes action today in day Two of the tournament as they prepare to take on the Baton Rouge Lady Bears for the second time this season. Game time begins at 1:30 p.m. in Summit.
Co-Lin 107, Spring Hill 35
The Lady Wolves battle the Spring Hill Lady Badgers junior varsity team Monday. The Lady Badgers was a late fill in due to the fact that the Southern-Shreveport women team pulled out at the last moment.
Spring Hill is a NCAA Division II school located in Mobile, Alabama. The Lady Badgers are in their first season as an NCAA team after previously being a member of the NAIA. Spring Hill only dressed 6 players for the game.
The Lady Wolves did not let the last minute change affect their motivation as they quickly over powered the Lady Badgers in the first half to take a 51-10 lead into halftime.
In the second half of action, the Lady Wolves continued their aggressiveness on offense and defense to dismantled Spring Hill with a 56-25 explosion to secure an impressive 107-35 victory.
All but one player on Co-Lin’s women roster got into the scoring spree as Tyra Gibson lead the balance scoring attack with 13 points. Jamilah Sanders contributed 11 points and was the leader on the boards with 9 rebounds. Arnissayur Robinson also chipped in with 11 points and had 4 assists. Caroline Lumpkin and Kelley Allen provided 10 points apiece.
Amber Lane was the top scorer for the Lady Badgers with 11 points. Caroline McClenny netted 9 points. Kelsey Hill, McClenny and Lane powered the Lady Badgers on the boards with 7 rebounds each.
