NATCHEZ – The West Lincoln’s junior high basketball teams swept a pair of games over the Cathedral Green Wave on Monday night in Natchez.

In the girls’ game, the Lady Bears raced out to a 30-12 lead at the half and cruised to a 46-31 win. Jana Case led West Lincoln with 16 points. Megan Gerald also provided 15 points for the Lady Bears. Hailey Ellis led Cathedral with 10 points.

In the boys’ game, the Bears jumped out to a 28-2 lead at halftime and rolled to a 40-15 win. Garrison Coffey netted 13 points for West Lincoln, while Michael Brothern added 9 points. Cathedral was led by Tyrick Lee’s 6 points.

West Lincoln resumes play tonight, hosting Bogue Chitto for four games. Junior high action begins at 4:00 followed by the varsity games at 6:00.
