Funeral Services for Ralph Edwin Redd, of Mandeville, Louisiana, are at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday Dec. 27,2014, from 12:30 p.m. until funeral services commence.

Mr. Redd, 88, died Dec. 25, 2014, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 30, 1926 in Bogue Chitto to Samuel Jefferson Redd and Ada Ion Smith Redd.

He was a resident of Natchez from 1959 to 2002 before making his home in Mandeville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Covington, Louisiana, and a former member of First Baptist Church in Natchez. Mr. Redd was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a loyal employee of the B. F. Goodrich Tire Company for 33 years, retiring at the age of 57. He enjoyed the great outdoors, beagle field trials, hunting and was known for his vegetable gardening. His faith in Jesus Christ was enduring to the end, and he loved to spend time with his precious family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Lowery Redd, and two sisters, Evelyn Redd, and Lucile Redd Leggett.

Survivors are his devoted wife of 65 years, LaNeil Noble Redd; four children: Judy R. Robertson (Paul) of Sugar Land, Texas, David Redd (Carol) of Ten Mile, Tennessee, Lucy R. Dykes (Elven) of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Gayle R. Humenansky of New Orleans, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Chad Robertson (Cathy), Charise Roberston Wilson (Bruce), all of Brandon, Alister Humenansky (Lauren) of Mobile, Alabama, and Penelope Humenansky of Miramar, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Camryn, Caleb and Conner Robertson and Abigail Wilson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and their families.
