Viola ‘Vi’ Varnado Cupit

Memorial Services for Viola “Vi” Varnado Cupit are 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services. Private graveside services were held Jan. 7, 2015 with burial in the Cupit Family Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cupit died Jan. 6, 2015, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland after a lengthy illness. She was born on Aug. 12, 1947, in Carriere to James Griffin and Virgie Lewis Varnado.
Mrs. Cupit had a lengthy career as a secretary. Mrs. Cupit was a devoted member of Yahweh’s Assembly in Messiah in Rocheport, Missouri. She also was a dedicated volunteer worker for Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, James Herschel Varnado.
Survivors are her husband of 28 years, Marion Allen Cupit; brother, Louis K. Varnado; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice Ministries, 397 Brookhaven Street, Brookhaven, MS 39601, Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County, P.O. Box 618, Brookhaven, MS 39602-018; or Yahweh’s Assembly in Messiah, 401 North Roby Farm Road, Rocheport, MO 65279.
