Lady Arrows defeat Ole Brook Lady Panthers

CLINTON – The Brookhaven Lady Panthers fell to the Clinton Lady Arrows 66-27 last Tuesday night in a non-divisional basketball contest.

Brookhaven will resume action Friday as they travel to Natchez to face the Natchez Bulldogs for a big Region 6-5A test. The Lady Panthers will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the boys.

The Lady Arrows of Clinton came out strong and dominated the Lady Panthers in the first half of action as they took a commanding 41-8 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Lady Panthers and the Lady Arrows fought in a close game, but Clinton managed to win the scoring battle 25-19 to secure the win.

Chantel Quarles was the offensive leader for the Lady Panthers with 12 points. Kynitria Hill contributed 10 points. Quarles and Hill both paced Brookhaven on the boards with six rebounds apiece.

Destiny Cyprian powered the Lady Arrows with 29 points. Olivia Jorden chipped in with 13 points.
