Funeral Services for Hubert W. Russell of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church With burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Russell, 84, died Feb. 2, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on Sept. 20, 1930 to Jessie Webb Russell and Fannie Mae Townsend Russell.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired dairy farmer and also a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death was/were his parents; and wife, Monell Russell

Survivors are his son, Rev. Larry Russell and wife, Belinda W. Russell, of Summit; Keith A. Russell and wife, Amanda Beach Russell, of Brookhaven; sisters, Doris Russell Bradley and Rev. M.R. Bradley; Rebecca Russell Boyte and husband, Lynn; Webbie Russell Savoie and husband, Mark; also two grandchildren, Jason Russell and wife, Liz of Franklinton, Louisiana, Stephen Russell and wife, Beth, of Newton and two great-grandchildren, Hallie and Payton.
