Rain and threat of Ice postponed Sunday, Monday games

Sunday’s Coca Cola Powerade Baseball Challenge between Co-Lin and Southwest was postponed due to rain. The game was reschedule for Sunday, March 1 for a single 9-inning contest. The game will start at 2 p.m. at Southwest.

In the opening round of the girls MSHSAA state playoff run the threat of freezing rain and icy road conditions postponed Monday’s night games for three local schools. Loyd Star, Bogue Chitto and West Lincoln have rescheduled those games for Wednesday night.

Bogue Chitto will host French Camp, beginning 6 p.m. West Lincoln will travel to Puckett for a 6 p.m. start. The Lady Hornets will entertain Madison St. Joseph Lady Bruins at 7 p.m.

The Co-Lin Lady Wolves softball team also postponed their doubleheader contest against Baton Rouge yesterday and Coahoma’s today. The makeup dates have not been set.
