WALNUT GROVE – The West Lincoln Bears traveled to Walnut Grove to face the Leake County Gators in the first round of the South 2A playoffs.

The Bears fell behind early in the game and faced a 13-point deficit at the end of the first quarter 19-6. The Gators continued to stretch the lead in the second quarter to have a commanding 36-19 lead at halftime.

In the second half, West Lincoln narrowed the lead after halftime but still trailed the Gators 47-31after three periods of action.

In the fourth quarter, the Gators would outscored the Bears 18-17 to secured the win in the final period with a final score 65-48.

Ronnie Edwards pumped in a team-high 12 points to led the Bears. Ke-Shaun London and Javian Mackabee netted nine points each. ZeKenith Porter added seven points. Lofton Sills had five points and led on the boards with eight rebounds. Mackabee also grabbed five rebounds.

West Lincoln wraps up their 2014-2015 season with a 13-17 record overall and finished third in Region 7-2A action with a 7-3 record.
