Funeral Services for Mary Alice Givens Cutrer of Magnolia are 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, at Jones Family Funeral Service with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. Vann Windom and Rev. Dennis Walker will officiate.
Visitation is Wednesday March 4, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Jones Family Funeral Service and continues there Thursday from 12 p.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Cutrer, 74, died March 2, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 18, 1940 in Lincoln County to Marshall Bud Givens and Mabel Boutwell Givens.
She was a stay at home mother for many years before she went to work at Corner Drugs in Magnolia, where she was known as “Mama Mary” and retired after 15 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved to cook for her children. She was loved by everyone that knew her and will be missed by all. She was an avid Bunko player with the Summit Family Medical Group.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 54 years, Lamar Cutrer; one son, Ricky Lamar Cutrer; two brothers, Marshall “Ray” Givens and Elmer “Buck” Holmes.
Survivors are her two sons, Paul Cutrer and wife Dianne of Magnolia, and Rusty Cutrer and wife Sandra of Brookhaven, MS; one daughter, Jackie Nobles and husband, Ricky, of Magnolia; one stepdaughter, Laurie Drew and husband, David, of Crystal Springs; one brother, Frank “Buddy” Givens and wife, Lucy, of Summit; three sisters, Shirley Nunnery of Magnolia, Mattie Lee Pickett and husband, Abner, of Summit and Margaret Rogers of McComb; 11 grandchildren, Rick Nobles, Mike Nobles, Krystal Nobles Newman, Amanda Reagan, Richard Paul Cutrer, Bradley Douglas, Lance Cutrer, Patrick Douglas, Marissa Cutrer Bonson, Sawyer Cutrer and David Drew Jr.; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be make to American Cancer Society in honor of Amanda Cutrer Reagan and memory of Lamar Cutrer.
