Graveside services for Mary Alice Rushing of Picayune are 12 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at New Sight Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, March 6, 2015, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rushing, 89, died March 3, 2015, at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune. She was born on Nov. 1, 1925 in Brookhaven to the late Archie and Katie Allen of Brookhaven. She was a retired seamstress, a long-time member of New Sight Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert S. Rushing; and a number of brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Kathy Bartlett (late husband Mack) and Shirley Mayo and her husband, Vernon Dale, all of Picayune; her sister, Dottie Smith of Brookhaven; her grandchildren,  Robby Mayo and wife, Jeannie, Lori McQueen and husband, Terry, Jimmy Mayo and wife, Bridgett, and Mary Fleming and husband, Jerry; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
