Lady Jackets fall to Sumrall

SUMRALL – The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets suffered a tough 6-2 loss to the Sumrall Lady Bobcats last Friday night in fastpitch softball action.

The Lady Jackets (0-3), coached by Charissa Burke, will take the rest of the week off to enjoy Spring Break before returning to action Monday as they prepare to their Region 7-2A rival, the Bassfield Lady Yellowjacket. Junior varsity action begins at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 6:15 p.m.

The Sumrall Lady Bobcats managed to take advantage of a few crucial mistake made by Enterprise to score six runs in the bottom of the second inning and held on for the Win.

The Lady Jackets managed to push across a run in the fourth and sixth inning, but could not climb out of the hole they dug their selves into to secure the win.

Carlee Nations suffered the setback on the mound for the Lady Jackets with 13 strikeouts and six walks.

Jana Nations powered the Lady Jackets’ offense with a double and two singles. Kinsey Dahlin provided a double. Hitting safely were Carly Polk and Haley Nations.
