BA falls to Parklane

The Brookhaven Academy Cougars suffered a tough 14-9 loss to the Parklane Pioneers in junior high baseball action Monday night at Harold Williams Ballpark.
BA junior high action continues Saturday as they host Centerville for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The Junior High Cougars came out and overpowered Parklane in the first five innings of action to lead 5-2.
In the top of the sixth inning, BA lost their composure, which allowed the Pioneers to rally back and score nine unanswered points to claim a 11-5 lead.
BA battled back in the bottom of the seventh inning and score four runs, but could not overcome Parklane’s lead to secure the win.
Dawson Flowers started for the Cougars and pitched the first five innings with eight strikeouts. Austin Fugler absorbed the loss on the mound for BA in relief. Cade Brown also pitched in relief.
Britton Nelson was the top hitter for BA with three singles, Dawson Flowers, Coker Wright and Justin Burt each had one single each. Parklane outhit BA 9-6.
