SUMMIT – Southwest freshman catcher Walt Aldridge, a graduate of Parklane Academy, has been named the MACJC’s baseball Player of the Week for March 9-15. He will now be automatically nominated for the national Player of the Week honor.

In the Bears’ 15-14, 10-inning win over Holmes on March 13, Aldridge went 3-4 with two home runs, six runs batted in, two runs scored and two walks. He also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

Aldridge is the first Southwest player to receive this award this season.
