Stacey Luciani singled to lead off the inning and Makenzie Hawkins had a one out single to set up Hitt’s RBI opportunity.

After Hitt’s homerun, Emily Todd singled and then scored on a bases loaded single by Haley Yasses for the fourth and final run of the game.

The lone run against Broussard in game one came in the fourth inning and was added by a throwing error that allowed the run to score.

In game two,  Broussard again went in the circle, pitching the first four innings en route to a second win on the day as the Blazers won 6-4.

Josie Porter gave the Blazers the lead with a single up the middle to score Dani Craft for the first run of the game in the top of the first. Kelly Rogers then scored on a wild pitch after pinch running for Dominique Corona.

In the second inning, Belhaven added three more runs to pull ahead of the Redhawks 5-1.

Dani Craft hit an RBI triple to score Hawkins and then scored on the very next at bat as Corona hit a sacrifice fly.

Later in the inning, Todd hit an RBI double to score Hitt from first.

After a homerun in the fourth by Martin Methodist, Belhaven went up 6-2 with a Haley Yasses RBI single that scored Josie Porter.

The Redhawks would add a run in the sixth and another in the seventh, but Jordan Herring and Sarah Beth Harbour combined to pitch the final three innings and secure the victory for the Blazers.

Belhaven will now take a week off before returning to McLeod Field for a SSAC doubleheader against Mobile.
