Morris selected for MACJC All-Star Game

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln sophomore guard Terry Morris has been selected to participate in the 2015 MACJC All-Star Game. The game, hosted by East Central in Decatur, takes place on Friday, April 10. The men’s game tips off at 6:45 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Building.
Morris, a graduate of Jim Hill High School and a native of Jackson, averaged 10.4 points, 3.8 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game as a sophomore. Morris started in 22 of 23 games at the point guard position for the Wolves in 2014-2015. He was 24th in the nation in minutes played per game, averaging 32.2 minutes per contest as a sophomore. Morris scored a career high 32 points in a 76-58 win over Hinds on January 29. He finished that game 6-of-10 from the 3-point line. Morris averaged 7.2 points and 2.3 assists per game as a freshman.
Sophomore forward Jordan Lumpkins was also was selected as an alternate for the game. Lumpkins, a graduate of Brother Martin High School and native of New Orleans, averaged 7.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in 2014-2015. Lumpkins, who averaged 6.8 points per game as a freshman, started in all 23 games for Co-Lin as a sophomore.
Co-Lin head coach Kenny Bizot and assistant coach Jake Reed will serve as coaches for the South Division. The Co-Lin staff last coached in the game in 2009. The North Division won that game 136-117 at Choctaw Central High School.
The South Division men’s team includes Quinton Campbell (East Central), LaDarrius Drain (Hinds), Bryce Jones (Jones County), Chris White (Jones County), Otis Harvey (Jones County), Brandon Daniels (Meridian), Jamarri Johnson (Gulf Coast), Michael Lewis (Gulf Coast), Justin Coleman (Gulf Coast), Jaylen Moore (Southwest), and Trent Jeffries (Southwest).
Alternates include Kristian Clark (East Central) and Rodrique Palmer (Jones).
The North Division men’s squad includes Cameron Monix (Coahoma), Sharwyn McGee (Northwest), De’Sean Dockery ( Northwest), Austin Timms (Itawamba), Lakee Westbrook (Itawamba), Dimario Jackson (Northeast), Dexter Stafford (Northeast), Marcus Washington (Holmes), Jarvis Williams (Holmes), Antonio Finley (East Mississippi), Shelvick Henry, Jr. (East Mississippi), and Darius Duke (Delta).
Alternates are Zamarius Griffin (Delta), Kevis Fleming (Itawamba), and Chris Rhoney (East Mississippi).
Ira Peterson of Coahoma will serve as head coach of the North Division.
