Lady Cats surpass St. Aloysius

VICKSBURG – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats knocked off the St. Aloysius Lady Flashes to win 2-0 Wednesday night in Region 7-1A fastpitch softball action.

The Lady Cats (9-6, 4-0) continue action today as they travel to Natchez to take on the Natchez Cathedral Lady Green Wave for a big division test. Junior varsity action begins at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6:15 p.m.

Bogue Chitto relied on their strong defense and a solid pitching effort from Alana Nettles to keep the Lady Flashes from scoring in softball action Wednesday night.

The Lady Cats came out and set the tone of the game early as they grab a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. BC out hit St. Aloysius 9-4.

Nettles earned the win in the pitching circle for BC giving up only four hit with five strikeouts and no walks.

Christian Black and Nettles powered the Lady Cats offensive attack with a double and two singles each. Hitting safely were Daley Roberts, Mallory Allen and Terrah Nelson.
