The Brookhaven Lady Panthers suffered two tough losses to the Pearl River Central Lady Blue Devils in a Region 6-5A varsity doubleheader contest Thursday night in fastpitch softball action.

The Lady Panthers lost 1-0 in Game One and fell to the Lady Blue Devils in Game Two 9-3.

“We played really well defensively, but we have to hit the ball to score runs,” said BHS coach Mandy Vinson. “Pearl River Central has a good team. Their pitchers did a good job moving the ball around to keep us off balance at the plate.”
