In Nettles’ spare time between school activities, he will head over to the Brookhaven Gym of Dream to compete in cheer.

“People don’t realize the amount of athleticism that it takes to compete in this sport,” said Gym of Dreams coach Duane Meilstrup. “Trent is a very quick learner, and he was a major part of our competitive squad for many years. He was also a member of our worlds’ team in 2014.”

Trent Nettles mentioned that he wants to pursue a career in nursing.

“I am super excited to joining Co-Lin’s cheer team,” said Nettles. “I just love to compete it doesn’t matter what sport it is.”
