Carrot still awaits adoption at BARL after being rescued and rehabilitated. Socializing and being in the atmosphere of the fun-filled event help rescued dogs become more comfortable with people.

Pups and people of all ages came together Saturday during Brookhaven Animal Rescue League's annual Barkfest to celebrate the role our domesticated animals play in our lives, and also support the organization that intervenes when these animals are not treated as our furry best friends.
