Funeral services for Anthony “Tony” Vance Porter are 1 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 5 until 8 p.m. and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.

Mr. Porter, 58, of Bogue Chitto, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was born May 4, 1957 in Natchez to Billy and Aline Avants Porter.

He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching his girls play ball and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Annie Hart Porter; daughters, Marley Porter and husband, Dustin, of Bogue Chitto, and Josie Claire Porter of Bogue Chitto; mother, Aline Avants Porter of Bogue Chitto; grandchild, Holden Vance Porter; brother, Dirk Porter of Bogue Chitto; sisters, Mona Lisa Porter Fauver and husband, Robert, of Bogue Chitto, and Greta Porter Richardson and husband, Kevin, of Bogue Chitto; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
