WESSON – Will Lee, a two-year standout at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, on Wednesday signed a golf scholarship with Blue Mountain College.

“We’re excited that Will is coming to Blue Mountain,” said Danny McKenzie, BMC coach. “He’s got a lot of experience playing community college golf, and he should be able to step in and contribute right away.

“The fact that he’s played in Coach Ronny Ross’s program at Co-Lin is a big plus. Coach Ross has an outstanding program.”

During his sophomore year, Lee finished ranked 22nd among all Mississippi community college golfers with a 78.3 scoring average in six tournaments, with low rounds of 74 in the Meridian Invitational and a 75-76–151 in the state championship.

“Will cut more than three shots off his freshman-year scoring average,” McKenzie said. “That shows that he’s willing to work hard and do what it takes to get better. With his experience, I expect him to be a team leader next year.”

Blue Mountain College, is a private, Christian liberal arts college in north Mississippi, 15 miles north of New Albany. It competes in the NAIA Southern States Athletic Conference.
