WESSON -Dayall Harris, a former Ole Miss wide receiver, signed a National Letter of Intent to play football with Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves on July 2, according to the National Junior College Athletic Association’s website. He is expected to enroll in classes on Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 192-pounder was redshirted during his freshman campaign with the Rebels and suspended in December 2014 after several “minor” incidents, according to an earlier report.
Harris was a four-star prospect coming out of Callaway High School where he recorded 42 receptions for 564 yards and seven touchdowns along with 1,034 all-purpose yards as a senior. The news of Harris’ departure comes after talk of several roster changes late last week.
Harris will be eligible to return to a four-year university after the fall 2015 semester.
He will join fellow Callaway alum and former Ole Miss commit Ronald Walker in Wesson. Walker and Harris were part of a 2014 Chargers class that had four Ole Miss commits, including five-star offensive guard Rod Taylor and four-star defensive end Breeland Speaks.
