Funeral services for Brooklyn Scout Brister will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Abundant Life Full Gospel Fellowship in Start, Louisiana. Pallbearers are Joseph Driskill, Aaron Hector, Nicholas Brister, Steve Brister, Joe Driskill, Clarissa Brister and Ashley Driskill. Sister Shirley Davidson will be officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville. 

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Abundant Life Full Gospel Fellowship.

Brooklyn, 5, of Monroe, Louisiana died Friday, July 3, 2015, in Monroe. She was born Dec. 13, 2009 in Minden, Louisiana.

Survivors include her mother, Clarissa Brister of Monroe; father, Nicholas Brister of McComb; siblings, Mercedes Brister and Jorja Brister, both of Harrisburg, Missouri, Nicholas Brister II, Isabella Brister and Pyper Brister, all of Monroe; maternal grandparents, Carol and Joe Driskill of Start; paternal grandparents, Sue and Steve Brister of McComb; paternal grandmother, Ann Herrin of Brookhaven; paternal great-grandparents, Theda Brister, Mary and Tom Boyte, and Billie Hodges; maternal great-grandmother, Linda Souter; aunts and uncles, Joseph Driskill and wife, Ashley, Aaron Hector, Ashley Terry, Tod Brister, Jeremy Hodges and wife, Alana, Adam Brister, and Cole Brister and wife, Rachael; and cousins, Jace Driskill, Aalaya Hector, Jaelin Hodges, Josylin Hodges, Jayce Hodges, Brodie Brister, Vance Brister, Brantlee Case and Jayston Case.
