Funeral services for Justin Lee “Rip” Rippy are 10 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Riverwood.0716RIPPY

Mr. Rippy, 38, died Monday, July 13, 2015, at his residence. He was born Jan. 12, 1977, to James Lamar “Jamie” Rippy and Karron Sue “Susie” Dunaway Rippy.

He graduated from Bogue Chitto with the class of 1995 and with the State of Mississippi Fire Academy class of 2002. Justin was a professional fireman with the Brookhaven Fire Department for 10 years and a professional welder by trade. He owned and operated Justin Rippy Welding for many years and was an avid huntsman and fisherman and member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jessie James Rippy.

Survivors are his wife of 15 years, Kimberly Roberts Rippy; daughters, Jessie Leigh Rippy and Julie Layne Rippy; son, Jack Sidney Rippy; brother, Dustin “Dusty” Rippy and wife, April; grandparents, Georgia Rippy and Leroy and Juanita Dunaway; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Diane Roberts; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Tara Roberts, David and Tina Roberts, Shannon and Kala Roberts and Wayne and Christi Givens; nephews and nieces, Megan Roberts, Austin Roberts, Alan Roberts, Katelyn Roberts, Kennedy Roberts, Amy Victoria Roberts, Will Michael Roberts, Chris Givens, Wyatt Givens, Abby Rippy, Karly Jo Rippy, Seth Rippy, Kamron Case and Nicholas Burns; and great-nephew, Mason Stafford.
