Funeral services for Jay C. Potter Jr. of Brookhaven will be at a later date. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Potter, 56, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at his residence. He was born on Feb. 21, 1959, to Jay C Potter Sr. and Frances Young Potter.

He was a member of First Baptist Church Brookhaven.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Bessonette; son, Jayson Potter and wife, Katie, and Dustin Potter; daughter, Somier McKibbin and husband, Kurtice; sisters, Peggy Cody, Margaret Bailey and Sarah Jeffirs; grandchildren, Kyler Potter and Joslynn McKibbin; and nephew, Chase Cody.
