The Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats will begin the 2015 season with one goal – winning a state championship.

“We are looking forward to a great season,” said BC head coach Scott Leggett. “The girls are working hard and they have their sights set on returning to play in the state championship. We were very close last year.”

BC finished last season with a 24-12 worksheet and won the region crown going undefeated at 4-0. In the playoffs, Lady Cats were eliminated in Class 1A South State Championship by Sebastopol in 2014.

The Lady Cats will make their season debut on Aug. 15 in the Puckett Wolves softball tournament. BC plays Mize at 11:30 a.m. and Richland at 1 p.m.

BC will have four seniors contributing leadership in this year’s squad with Christian Black, Alana Nettles, Zariah Matthews and Brooke Myers.
