Nearly 100 girls between the ages of 1 and 20 graced the stage at the annual Lion’s Club Beauty Pageant, one of the state’s longest running pageants, Saturday.

Mallory Denise Allen was named Queen of the Lions Club Beauty Pageant at the end of the night. Other winners in that category included second place winner Abigail Grace Hux and third place winner Morgan Grace Wallis.

Originally known as the Lions Water Carnival when it began in 1943, the annual pageant has been a Brookhaven tradition for more than seven decades and is the club’s primary fundraising event. The funds raised help the club provide vision checks for local school children, as well as other club projects.
