Wesson, coached by Ronald Greer, is ready to begin the 2015 season as the team hosts the McLaurin Tigers at Stone Stadium on Co-Lin’s campus.

The Cobras will rely on eight returning starters to provide leadership on both offense and defense for the young upcoming stable of athletes.

The returning starters are Kendrick Brown (6-1, 235, sr.) at full back-linebacker, offensive lineman-defensive tackle Bobby Pritchard (6-0, 230, jr.), offensive lineman Matthew Craft (5-11, 220, jr.), offensive lineman Zeb Hughes (5-9, 190, jr.), running back-linebacker 5-6, 150, jr.), defensive end Demarcus Smith (6-1, 230, sr.), defensive end Jamarcus Patterson (5-11, 220, sr.) and linebacker Jeremiah Stapleton (5-10, 165, sr.).

My prediction for this year:  Wesson will come out fired up and secure a victory in their home opener 42-28 over McLaurin.
