Funeral services for Thelma White Ballard of Brookhaven will be at 1 p.m. Monday Sept. 14, 2015 at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with a private burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 14, 2015 at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Mrs. Ballard, 87, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at Golden Living Nursing Center (Brook Manor) in Brookhaven. She was born on May 5, 1928 in Brookhaven to Herby and Julia White.

She was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church where in the past she served as W.M.U. Director and also in the library at the old Easthaven Church. She also kept the records on attendance for over 22 years. She loved her church and her church family.

Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband J. D. Ballard and nephew David Rushing.

Survivors are her son, Tommy Ballard of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Mary M. Smith of Ruth; a niece, Angie Davis and her family of Ruth; a nephew Randy Rushing of Brookhaven.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Golden Living Nursing Center (Brook Manor), Steve and Viola Brown, Margie and Nelson Chance, Mary Smith and Angie Davis.

LaRon Herrington

The funeral service for LaRon Herrington will be 11 a.m., Monday, Sept 14, 2015 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with interment at Topisaw Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13 at Riverwood.

Mr. Herrington, 67, of Ruth, died Sept. 10, 2015 at Courtyard Rehabilitation and Health Care in McComb. He was born May 12, 1948 to A.C. Herrington and Dorothy Nell White Herrington. He worked in the construction industry as a boilermaker. Mr. Herrington was a member of Topisaw Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ron Herrington.

Survivors are his son, Sean Christopher Herrington and his sister, Suzon Herrington Lester. He is also survived by one grandchild, Caleb Herrington.
