Funeral services for Eula Tyson Watts are Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Willie Welch will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, from 8 until the time of services at the funeral home.1002Eula Watts Picture

Mrs. Watts, 92, of Crystal Springs, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, Louisiana. She was born Oct. 3, 1922, in Copiah County to Roland Levi and Florence McCaskell Tyson.

She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Her life verse was Mt. 25:23 – “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the love of her life, Nola Ray Watts; her brother, John Thomas Tyson; her sisters, Mamie Ruth Hayslip, Maudie L. Nobles, Temple M. Reed and Willie Beatrice Carraway; and special friend, Charlie Bridges.

Survivors are her great-niece and caretaker, Peggy Reno; other family members dear to her heart, Amanda Reno Hunt and her husband Dale, Chris Reno, his fiancee Chelsea, and their children, Chloe and Chandler; Eddie Rester, whom she loved as a son; and a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Zachary Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the many years of loving care they provided for Mrs. Watts.
