A New Hebron man was killed in a single-car accident this afternoon when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, the Mississippi Highway Patrol reported.

Joey Jackson, 30, was traveling north on Hwy. 27 in Copiah County when his vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree. He was declared dead at the scene, MHP reported.  The accident is under investigation.
