Funeral services for Carolyn Jane Helgason Allen will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. 

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of the service at Riverwood.

Mrs. Allen, 79, of Brookhaven, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, in Raymond. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Jan. 4, 1936, to Lyle Helgason and Jane Wylie Helgason.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin H. Allen; son, Frank Allen; parents; and brother, Dennis Helgason.

Survivors are her daughter, Sharon Allen McMillian and husband, Bobby; sons, Lyle Kenneth “Kenny” Allen and wife, Janet, and Jeff Allen; brother, Donald Helgason; sisters, Janet Schwarz and Bonnie Moran; seven grandchildren, Chris Allen and wife, Allyn, Angela Allen Jackson and husband, Kendall, Philip Steven Beck Jr. and wife, Pam, Missy Buchanan and husband, Clint, Tonya Cresswell and husband, J.D., Spencer Allen and Walker Allen; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
