WESSON – Defensive end Paul James III has been named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College’s Defensive Player of the Week.

James, of Miami, Florida, had 3 sacks (-21 yards), 5 tackles for loss (-33 yards), 3 quarterback hurries, and 8.5 tackles in Co-Lin’s 17-14 win over Jones County. James, a sophomore transfer from the University of Illinois, leads the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in sacks with 14.
