Graveside services for Lois Smith Davis will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Mrs. Davis, 89, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, in the home of her daughter in Vernon, Vermont.  She was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 1, 1926, to Henry and Hattie Mae Smith. 

First and foremost she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Mom went very peacefully, knowing she had lived a full life, loving and caring. She will rest beside Dad in Mississippi. We take comfort in this and in knowing she is now with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leroy Davis; her parents; two brothers; and seven sisters.

She is survived by her sister, Louise Lynn and husband, Ronnie Lynn, of Brookhaven; son, Marc Davis and wife, Kay Davis, of Erin, Tennessee; daughter, Suzanne King and husband, David King, of Vernon, Vermont; grandsons, Benjamin Targosz of Alexandria, Virginia, Jonathan Blanton and wife, Kristina Blanton, of Spring, Texas; granddaughters, Callie Attebery and husband, Brian Attebery, of Hebron, Kentucky, Mackenzie King of Tibilisi, Georgia; and great-granddaughter, Summer Blanton of Jackson.
