Library needs help stocking shelves

The Lincoln County Library is looking to local residents for help stocking their shelves this holiday season.

A wish tree is located in the children’s section that allows patrons to select between 40 titles available for donation. With prices ranging from $4 to $20, the library has made it easy to donate.

To do so, visit the wish tree in the children’s section and select an ornament. Take it to the front desk and pay. The library takes care of the actual book purchase. They are also accepting dollar donations for those who would like to give to the book collection, but may not be able to purchase a book.

“Some titles are patron favorites we need to replace, while others are new titles that would be fun additions to our collection,” Kasie Eckman, children’s services coordinator, said. “I think this is a wonderful way to allow patrons to contribute to our collection and celebrate the season of giving. Last year we were able to purchase 13 titles with our donations. This year we would love to see that number jump to 20. Every little bit helps, so we are extremely grateful for the gifts.”

Donations may be done anonymously or in memory or honor of someone. The tree will be up through December and the first week of January.
