Funeral services for Peggy Gene Lofton Davis are Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial in Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Glynn Hilton will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis, 86, formerly of Brookhaven, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at Harvest Homes Assisted Living in Tomball, Texas. She was born on Dec. 10, 1928 in Franklin County to Marshall and Louise Montgomery Lofton.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Prentiss Davis; three brothers, Joe Lofton, Gordon “Mutt” Lofton and Jerry Lofton; and sister, Julia Ratcliff.

Survivors are her daughters, Linda Davis, Barbara Davis and Bonnette Davis, all of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Eva Allen and husband, N. S., of Wesson and Marie Hilton and husband, Glynn, of Monticello; brother, Thomas Lofton and wife, Elsie, of Brookhaven; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
