Funeral services for Pyong “Sonya” Lee Carlisle will be Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Rev. Nanho Song will be officiating the services.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. and will continue from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Carlisle, 77, formerly of Wesson, died Dec. 12, 2015, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Mrs. Carlisle was born Oct. 28, 1938, in Inchon, Korea to TaeSon and Kyu Ho Lee.

Mrs. Carlisle was a retired teacher and business owner. She loved knitting, listening to music and playing with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, TaeSon and Kyu Ho Lee; and husband of 30 years, Russell R. Carlisle.

Survivors are her sons, Dr. Russell L. Carlisle and his wife, Carla Graham Carlisle, of Brandon and Edward L. Carlisle and his wife, Dr. Sarah Carlisle, of Madison; brother, Byong Hyon Lee and wife, Kim Lee, of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Nathan, Andrew, Caroline and Emma Carlisle; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Evergreen Korean Baptist Church, 12 Professional Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
