Enterprise thumps Mize

Enterprise’s duo of Jontavious Smith and Dewayne Pendleton powered the Jackets to a 78-48 win over the Mize Bulldogs Tuesday night at Enterprise Gymnasium.

In girls’ action, the Lady Jackets crushed the Lady Bulldogs 70-28.

Enterprise will be in action Friday as the Lady Jackets and the Jackets travel to Sandhill to battle the Pisgah Dragons in two varsity games. The girls will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.

Enterprise 78, Mize 48 

The Jackets quickly dominated the Bulldogs in the first half, carrying a 41-30 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Enterprise hammered the Bulldogs with a 36-18 run in the final two quarters to secure the win.

Smith and Pendleton pumped in a game-high 24 points apiece to lead the Jackets. Cade Feltus contributed 15 points. Austin Carter netted seven points. Zach Hodges scored three points and Peytin Jergins had two points.

Smith was the leader on the boards with 12 rebounds and five steals. Pendleton had five rebounds and five steals.

The Bulldogs had three players to score in double figures as Wardalius Ducksworth led with 16 points. Ladd Garner provided 12 points and Luke Garner had 10 points.

Lady Jackets 70, Lady Bulldogs 28 

The Lady Jackets dominated the Lady Bulldogs in the first half as Enterprise took a commanding 39-11 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Lady Jackets outscored Mize 31-17 to clinch the win.

Courtney Greer paced the Lady Jackets’ scoring attack with 19 points. Haley Nations, Alissa Barlow and Carlee Nations contributed eight points apiece. Karlee Burgess netted seven points. Michelle Herrington provided six points. Jana Nations and Brittany Barnett scored four points each. Brooke Foster and Monisha Pendleton had three points each.

Haylee Chisholm was the top scorer for the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points.
