The undefeated Brookhaven Panthers (10-0) dominated the Tylertown Chiefs Tuesday night to claim an 80-47 win in Sinclair Gymnasium.

In the girls’ contest, the Lady Chiefs beat the Lady Panthers 55-27.

Brookhaven will be in action Friday as the Panthers and Lady Panthers invade Wesson to battle the Cobras in a varsity doubleheader. The girls will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.

Brookhaven 80, Tylertown 47 

The Panthers’ high-powered offense quickly overwhelmed the Chiefs as Brookhaven roared to a 41-24 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Brookhaven outscored Tylertown 39-23 to collect the win.

The Panthers had four players to score in double figures as Darrian Wilson led the charge with 16 points and seven rebounds. Damarius Brooks chipped in with 15 points and had eight assists. Lazorian McNulty netted 14 points. Shon Blackwell contributed 10 points and had seven assists. Garrett Smith provided eight points. Jashawn Perkins scored four points. Danarius Gray had three points. Darius Bryant, Loffalliette Bogan, Joquarius Davis, Tyriq Reese and Richard Marshall added two points each.

Taro Magee was the top scorer for the Chiefs with 15 points. Johnny Wilson and Joneil Wilson contributed eight points each.

Lady Chiefs 55, Lady Panthers 27 

In the second period, Tylertown outscored Brookhaven 17-5 to take a 22-11 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Tylertown put together a 23-16 run in the last two quarters to escape with a victory.

Taylor Carter, Mya Washington and Alarria Townsend were the top scorers for the Lady Panthers with six points each. Washington was the leader on the boards with six rebounds. Asia Byrd and Miyah Miller provided three points apiece. Cheyenne Motley and Tamia Stallings had two points each. Motley helped on the boards with five rebounds.

Anisha Jackson powered the Lady Chiefs with 15 points. Lesuivia Hargrove contributed 14 points.
