MEADVILLE – Wesson secured a split against Franklin County Tuesday in high school soccer action.

In the girls’ contest, the Lady Cobras defeated the Lady Bulldogs 2-1.

Amber Brinson powered the Lady Cobras with two goals and five steals. Nikki Guess led Wesson with nine steals. Cheyenne Gladden finished with six steals. Kim San also had five steals. Harmoni Ashley had 16 saves as Wesson’s goalie.

In boys’ action, Franklin County beat Wesson 4-1.

Skyler Rasberry scored the only goal for the Cobras. Dylan Ingle led the team with 11 steals. Francisco Hernandez, Marcus Jones and Rasberry had seven steals apiece. Preston Middleton had five saves in the loss as Wesson’s goalie.
