It’s basketball tournament time as local teams get set to knock off the holiday rust early. Local fans will have plenty of action to watch as Brookhaven Academy, NW Rankin, Columbia, Pearl and Bay High will host holiday tournaments.

Brookhaven Academy will host its annual holiday event Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at John R. Gray Gymnasium. The Lady Cougars will take on Trinity and the Cougars battles Tri-County on Monday, starting at 6 p.m.

BA’s holiday classic will begin at 1:30 p.m. for the other teams.

The Brookhaven Panthers will travel to Northwest Rankin to participate in its holiday tournament Monday and Tuesday. The Panthers will face Vicksburg at 12:30 p.m. and the Lady Panthers battles Northwest Rankin at 5 p.m.

The Enterprise Jackets will invade Columbia to participate in Columbia Academy’s tournament. The Jackets will take on Ben’s Ford at 11:30, followed by the girls at 12:50 p.m.

Wesson will be involved in a Holiday tournament at Pearl. The Cobras and Lady Cobras will be in action Monday against Florence at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The Lawrence County Cougars and Lady Cougars will be in action at the Bay High Holiday tournament in Bay St. Louis, on Monday and Tuesday. The Lady Cougars battles D’Iberville at 11 a.m., followed by the Cougars against Wayne County at 3:30 p.m.
