Funeral services for Julian D. “Puggy” Gayten are Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at 12 p.m. at St. James M.B. Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Rev. Larry Jointer will be officiating the services. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, from 12 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Gayten, 22, of Brookhaven, died on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at his residence. He was born July 3, 1993, in Jackson.

Survivors are his mother, Elmira Gayten of Richardson, Texas; his father, Anthony Williams (Shauntilua); daughter, Logan Marie Winn of Columbia, South Carolina; brother, Joseph Quinn Cooper of Brookhaven; devoted uncles, Sam Gayten Jr. of Richmond, Virginia and Terry Williams of Greenwood; dearly devoted aunts, Ella Gayten Holmes of Houston, Texas and Sandra Lloyd of Brookhaven; and a host of other relatives and friends.
