Funeral services for Ruth F. Maloon Snyder will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at Faith Presbyterian Church with burial at Easthaven Cemetery. 

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Snyder, 83, of Brookhaven, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Oct. 11, 1932, to Prentiss R. Furr and Edna Chutz Furr.

She was retired from Lazarus Department Store as a representative for Estee Lauder and Millanes Gifts. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Maloon and Charles Snyder; parents; brother, Charles E. Furr; and sister Mildred Furr Blackwell.

Survivors are her sister-in-law, Jean Q. Furr and her son, Brian Furr and daughter Michelle F. Smith and husband, Philip, and their children, Cason and Charlie; her beloved West Highland White Terrier, Brody, whom she helped raise and deeply loved; and several other special cousins and friends.
