Funeral services for Dorothy Newell Windham are Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Garland Boyd and Bro. Wayne Moak will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Mrs. Windham, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Brook Manor Golden Living Center in Brookhaven. She was born on Aug. 8, 1930, to Mr. James O. Newell and Mrs. Ollie Mae Griffin Newell in Franklin County. She was their third child.

She enjoyed buying, selling and collecting antiques. She was an expert at restoring and refinishing antique furniture. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Arch Lamar Windham; and her brothers, William August Newell and L.C. Newell.

Survivors are her three children, Mike Windham and wife, Sue, of Brookhaven, Brenda Windham Case and husband, Richard, of Maryville, Tennessee and Jon S. Windham and wife, Tammy, of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Todd Windham, Ben Windham, Justin Windham, Ana A. Case, Blake Windham and Caleb Windham; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express thanks to all of her friends and to the staff of Brook Manor Golden Living Center.
