Funeral services for Shirley Young Monk are Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Monk, 78, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. She was born June 15, 1937, in Monticello.
